Castle Pines Roofing From a Local Parker Crew

Eagle Eye Renovations has handled Castle Pines roofing jobs out of our Parker office since 2014. We do roof repair, full replacements, gutters, and hail claims for homes on both sides of I-25, and we’re about a 25-minute drive away when something goes wrong.

The August 26, 2026 storm is why a lot of Castle Pines homeowners are calling right now. A storm spotter report logged with the National Weather Service put one-inch hail just east of town around 5 PM, and residents posted photos of stones closer to golf-ball size. The damage was uneven. One street got hammered while the next block over barely noticed. We wrote up what we saw after the August storm if you want the details.

Hail damage isn’t always obvious from the ground. Bruised shingles lose granules slowly, and a cracked vent boot may not leak until the next heavy rain or spring snowmelt. If you’re not sure whether your roof took hits, we’ll do a free inspection and show you photos. You’ll get a straight answer, even if the answer is that you don’t need anything.

What Castle Pines Roofs Are Up Against

Castle Pines, CO sits at roughly 6,500 feet on the north side of the Palmer Divide, higher than Denver and higher than Parker. That elevation brings strong sun, big temperature swings, and a front-row seat for summer thunderstorms rolling east off the foothills. Most Castle Pines homes were built from the 1990s on, so plenty of them are on original or second-generation shingles.

Hail That Skips Around

Front Range storms here tend to drop hail in narrow bands. In August 2026, parts of Castle Pines got hit hard while parts of Castle Rock saw almost none. Don't judge your roof by your neighbor's. Get it looked at.

Residential & Commercial Roof Repair in Parker, Colorado by Eagle Eye Renovations

Exposed Ridges and Wind

Many Castle Pines homes sit on ridges and open slopes with long views. That also means more wind. Lifted shingle tabs, loose ridge caps, and missing pieces after a windy week are common calls for us up here.

City Permits and Wind-Rated Shingles

The City of Castle Pines requires a permit for any reroof and for repairs over 100 square feet. Shingles must carry an approved ASTM wind rating, and the inspector checks the packaging. We handle the permit and inspection.

Two Very Different HOA Setups

Neighborhoods inside the city each have their own HOA rules. The gated Village at Castle Pines is separate, in unincorporated Douglas County, and its Design Review Committee requires approval and samples for any roof replacement.

How Roof Repair and Replacement Works in Castle Pines, CO

After a storm like August’s, the hardest part is figuring out whether you have real damage and who to trust. Here’s how a job with us goes, from the first free inspection to the final walkthrough.

Free Hail Damage Inspection

We check shingles, ridge caps, vents, flashing, skylights, gutters and downspouts, and we look in the attic if there's any sign of a leak. Every hail hit gets documented with dated photos you keep.

Plain-English Report

You'll hear whether it's a repair, a full replacement, or nothing at all. We don't pad the scope to make an insurance claim bigger.

Claim, Permit and HOA Help

We meet your adjuster, pull the City of Castle Pines permit, and prepare HOA or Village Design Review submittals with the shingle samples they require.

Install and Walkthrough

Tear-off, new underlayment, drip edge and flashing, then your new roof with the materials you picked. After the City inspection, we clean up nails and debris and walk the completed job with you.

Repair Makes Sense When…

  • Hail or wind damaged a few shingles, a vent, or a short run of ridge cap
  • The roof is fairly new and the rest of it is in good shape
  • A leak traces back to one spot, like a skylight or chimney
  • Your adjuster finds damage on only one slope

Replacement Makes Sense When…

  • The August 2026 hail bruised or cracked shingles on several slopes
  • Your home is on its original 1990s or early-2000s roof
  • You’re finding heavy granule loss in the gutters
  • Repeated wind events keep lifting and tearing shingles

We’ll show you photos either way. If a repair will do the job, we’ll say so and write it up that way.

Roofing Materials for Castle Pines Homes

Asphalt Roofing

Most homes in the city of Castle Pines have asphalt shingles, and they’re still the practical choice for most budgets. Given how often hail hits this area, we usually suggest impact-resistant shingles (Class 4). They take a hit better, and some insurers offer a discount for them. Your shingles also need to meet the City’s ASTM wind rating, which we confirm before ordering.

Metal Roofing

Standing-seam and stone-coated steel handle wind well and shed snow fast, which helps on exposed ridgelines with big views and bigger gusts. Metal costs more up front and large hail can leave cosmetic dents, so it’s not the right call for everyone. If your HOA allows it and you plan to stay a long time, it’s worth comparing side by side with impact-resistant asphalt before you decide.

Tile Roofing

Concrete and clay tile show up on some larger homes and custom builds, especially in the Village. Tile is long-lasting and fire-resistant, but individual tiles crack under hail and foot traffic. We replace broken tiles, repair the underlayment underneath, and match profiles as closely as possible. In the Village, expect the Design Review Committee to weigh in on any change.

Castle Pines Roofing Questions

Did the August 2026 hail storm damage my roof?

Maybe. Hail hit Castle Pines in uneven bands, so your house could be damaged while your neighbor’s is fine. From the ground, check for dents in gutters, downspouts, and vent caps, dings on your AC unit, or shingle granules piled at the bottom of downspouts. If you see any of that, schedule a free hail damage inspection before you file a claim.

It depends on how much damage there is and what your deductible is. Many Colorado policies have a separate wind and hail deductible, sometimes set as a percentage of your home’s value. We’ll inspect first and show you photos. If the damage is minor and well under your deductible, we’ll tell you that before you file anything.

A full reroof always needs a City of Castle Pines building permit. Repairs that replace more than 100 square feet of roof need one too. The City inspector also checks that your shingles meet the required ASTM wind rating. If you live in the Village at Castle Pines, you’ll need Design Review Committee approval as well. We handle all of that for you.

Yes. The Village is a gated community in unincorporated Douglas County, separate from the City of Castle Pines. Its Design Review Committee requires approval and material samples before a roof replacement. We’ll prepare the submittal with you, coordinate gate access, and schedule the work once you have approval.

Usually within a few days, and we work weekends. After a big storm like August’s, demand spikes, so contact us early. If you have an active leak, tell us when you call and we’ll prioritize a temporary fix to stop the water from reaching your ceilings and insulation while the claim and the permanent repair get sorted out.
